A traditional country house once stood on the village square of a small Central Bohemian village, but its time had come. Instead of a complex reconstruction, the decision was made to build a new house - one that would sensitively follow the original character of the location while offering maximum comfort and connection with nature.

The architectural design respects the morphology of rural buildings facing the village square – a simple rectangular floor plan, a gable roof and classic windows in the gable wall. However, the opposite side of the house opens to the garden with large glass areas, which bring plenty of light into the interior and allow a seamless connection with the exterior.

The construction uses massive cross-laminated timber panels, which not only bring natural aesthetics but also excellent insulation properties. The living space is partially open to the roof, which gives the interior an airy and unique atmosphere. The design also included an external sliding wooden panel, which provides shelter or shading as needed.

The house is equipped with a heat recovery unit for effective ventilation, heating is provided by electric cables in combination with a fireplace stove, which creates a cozy atmosphere in winter. The plot also includes a natural pond, which completes the harmonious connection of the house with the garden.
