The first phase of the campus, located on an area of 130 thousand m2 on the backs of Çekmeköy, one of the new investment areas of Istanbul, was completed in 2011 and started its educational life. The Campus Master Plan and building-block concept design works belong to RMJM commissioned by the employer. The campus, which is formed from the flexible blocks spread over the sloping land and rich landscape areas and squares connected to each other at different levels, was designed in accordance with these principles from the very beginning, with the aim of becoming the first Turkish campus to have the certificate of "LEED GOLD".
