Isolgomma Mustwall

Mustwall is a high-density SBR rubber acoustic insulation board designed to provide superior sound insulation in wall and ceiling applications. Suitable for both wet-applied wall systems such as brick, aerated concrete, and pumice block, as well as dry construction systems including gypsum board, fibre cement, and OSB panels, the product is resistant to moisture and humidity, making it ideal for wet areas. Its flexible structure tolerates surface irregularities, while its heavy mass (800 kg/m³) enables it to function as a heavy barrier, delivering particularly effective performance at low frequencies. Unlike conventional heavy barriers, however, its elasticity allows it to decouple gypsum boards, fibre cement panels, and similar masses, enabling independent mass-spring-mass behavior at varying thicknesses and providing effective insulation across a wider frequency range. Thanks to its slim profile, Mustwall maximizes acoustic improvement without increasing wall thickness, making it ideal for projects where space is valuable. It can significantly enhance the performance of inadequately insulated walls and ceilings without requiring demolition, simply through surface application. Mustwall features tear-resistant layers on both faces, has a thickness of 10 mm, dimensions of 100 cm x 120 cm, a unit weight of 8.00 kg/m², and can also be manufactured in 20 mm thickness upon request.
