Isolgomma Stywall AD

When sound energy reaches a wall, part of it is reflected, part is absorbed, and part travels through the wall structure, spreading into the building. To prevent this transmitted energy from propagating to other parts of the structure, a wall base isolation strip is used. This creates a flexible connection between the floor slab and the wall, preventing the energy transferred to the wall from passing into the floor and subsequently to other structural elements. Studies indicate that flanking transmission can negatively affect the overall wall performance by approximately 7–8 dB. Stywall AD Pro is manufactured with a density of 780 kg/m³, a thickness of 6 mm, and is covered on one side with a tear-resistant layer. The product is available in widths of 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, and 33 cm. When selecting the width, plaster and similar finishes should be considered, and a strip 4–5 cm wider than the wall thickness is recommended—for example, a 25 cm strip should be used for a 19.5 cm brick wall.
