Vibrations generated by machinery propagate through building structures, reducing acoustic comfort and potentially compromising worker safety. In industrial environments, they may also adversely affect sensitive equipment, causing precision and calibration issues and accelerating wear. The Megamat series has been developed to protect structures from machinery-induced and environmental vibrations. With correct material selection and proper installation methods, it prevents vibration transmission throughout the structure, eliminating these negative effects. Megamat products also protect the building envelope from externally induced vibrations and, when used in foundations and retaining walls, complete the structural isolation system while enhancing user comfort. Depending on the application, Megamat can be installed in foundation pits for heavy machinery such as presses, beneath generator base concrete slabs, or in strip and/or pad form under lighter equipment profiles and machine feet. Megamat is manufactured by hot-press bonding SBR granules and fibers onto a tear-resistant layer using a polyurethane-based binder. It is available in densities of 500, 650, 800, and 950 kg/m³ according to performance requirements, with thicknesses of 12.5 mm, 25 mm, and 50 mm, and standard dimensions of 0.80 m x 1.20 m. Suitable for low, medium, and heavy loads, the product offers a static and dynamic load capacity range of 0.05–4.00 N/mm².
