FV050 is a fire-resistant product designed to function as an external wall cavity barrier where required, such as around partition floors, windows, doors, etc., and uninsulated voids requiring permanent (open) ventilation. In the event of a fire, FV050 will expand to seal the external wall cavity and provide effective fire resistance for up to 120 minutes, depending on the structure of the external walls, maintaining integrity and insulation. FV050 is designed for use in a 50 mm cavity and, upon installation, will seal the remaining free air gap (in front of the 6 mm thick cavity barrier) by 44 mm.
• It ensures maximum ventilation of cavities by reducing the need for cavity trays or leak holes.
• Suitable for “open state” ventilated cavities up to 50 mm wide.
