Satin Carved Glass

The acid-etching process applied to flat glass is the removal of silicon particles from the glass surface. This process creates microscopic, invisible indentations on the glass surface. While acid-etched (satina) glass allows light transmission, it prevents objects from being clearly visible. The further an object is from the satina glass, the more opaque the glass appears. The most important features of satina glass are that it is fingerprint-resistant and easy to clean.
