KOOP, which provides collaborative opportunities with professionals and various offices in urban design, architecture, restoration, construction, graphics, museology, and many other fields, was founded in 2013 by Y. Burak Dolu. Y. Burak Dolu began his education at Yıldız Technical University's Department of Architecture in 2002 and continued his studies at Istanbul Technical University's Restoration Master's Program in 2007 and Athens Technical University's History of Architecture Master's Program in 2008. He worked in various architectural offices and most recently served as the director of the Cyprus Cultural Heritage Project at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The experience he gained from his freelance work since 2006, combined with his cooperative work environment, laid the groundwork for the establishment of KOOP in 2011. KOOP, which has undertaken projects and implementations in a wide range of areas, including historical building restoration and transformation, museum and exhibition design, cultural centers, social centers, residences, city squares, housing, and restaurants, has won various architectural awards for its projects. KOOP, which creates solutions by creating cooperative working environments with individuals, companies and various non-governmental organizations in many fields such as urban planning, urban design, conservation, engineering, graphic design and museology for each project, has exhibited its works in many exhibitions and publications in Turkey and around the world.
