Founded in 2011 by architect Emre Arslan, GOOA Architecture has undertaken projects of various typologies and scales, both nationally and internationally. In contrast to the rapidly globalizing and monotonous nature of the world, each project believes in the power of locality. In its designs, it strives to connect the building's relationship with its geography and the land it is situated on, as well as the users' lifestyles and culture. Believing that each project has its own unique story, it views architecture as a professional practice that examines numerous factors, including the building's function, the region's climatic, geographical, cultural, and economic factors, and ultimately, the transformation process into a workable and accessible physical structure.
