AKDOTEX presents the 'DESIGN YOUR TEXTURE AT HOME' Online Design Competition to add new designs to its collections.

Now, Silkar, wants to strength it's collections, which they have developed with their expertise in natural stone, by expanding the boundaries of the conversion of the stone with your designs.

Subject of the Competition
The concept of 'Surface' is one of the most important discussion topics of architects and designers with its different definitions as one of the main components that make up the space. While today's dynamics, architects and designers have repeatedly questioned the definition of space and created new experiences for users, it has been a great advantage to take advantage of the power of developing technologies. We know that the 'surfaces' that we meticulously position when constructing our spaces are shaped by the intersection of function / design / technology.
'DESIGN-YOUR-TEXTURE AT HOME' is an Online Design Competition expecting 'surface / texture / texture' design that will be developed for use in the interior with the vision of the future and the future vision from the participants.
- Spatial typology where the surface will be used is left to the competitor. (housing, multifunctional areas, cultural structure, public structure, commerce, worship area, etc.)
- The unit dimensions of the 'surface / texture' to be obtained must be reproduced and their side-by-side arrivals must be produced. The dimensions in the AKDOTEX Collection should guide the participants.
- When determining the quality of the design, it should be taken into consideration that it will be produced as a result of the competition, enter the collection and be shared with the sector.
Conditions for Participation in the Competition
'DESIGN-YOUR-TEXTURE AT HOME' Online Design Competition, which you can apply with online participation, is open to the participation of all designers who are architects, interior designers and industrial product designers. Participation can be made individually or in groups. Room registration is not required for the participants.
Participants who want to apply for the contest must download the specification on https://tr.akdo.com/en/event-registration and register by filling out the form.
- The projects are prepared in A2 size, in 3 layouts (all vertical or all horizontal) in PDF format (300 dpi resolution), using the scale and presentation technique preferred by the participant.
- The design report that tells your design story should be uploaded with layouts in PDF format.
- In addition to layouts, the designer can express the project with animation or a short film (max. 60 sec.).
- Each project is defined by a nickname consisting of 5 numbers. There should be a 5-digit nickname in the top right corner of the layouts and in the report. In addition, in the submitted documents, only the nickname in question is used, and there are no signs that indicate the identity of the project owners.
Delivery Method
Participants, by converting their project layouts and documents digitally prepared in * Soft copy * to 3 layouts (all vertical or all horizontal) in PDF format or compression programs, is the project deadline for the project on the https://tr.akdo.com/en/event-registration website, 15.06.2020. It must be uploaded until the end of the day, 00:00. Subsequent uploads will be excluded from the evaluation, even if the system allows it.
The project upload should be done in the relevant formats by writing only the nickname on all documents.
When the project will be closed to the system data loading after the deadline, it is recommended that the projects be loaded in advance in response to the risk of failure to load, taking into account that there may be intensity of loading on the last day.
Competition Jury
The competition jury are designers working within the body of AKDO and the sector's unifying platform, the Construction Catalogue and Dezinti Design Consulting professionals. First degree relatives of the jury members cannot participate in the competition.
Competition jury evaluation results will be announced on www.akdo.com.tr website and AKDO social media accounts.

Award:
At the end of the Award Jury evaluation, the top 3 will be determined among the participants. The 1st design will be produced and will be included in the AKDOTEX collections.
INTELLECTUAL RIGHTS
Competitors; Silkar Madencilik San ve Tic. A.Ş., which regulates the rights of publication, use and exhibition of the projects they submit to the competition. They accept what they share with. Contestants who present this material are responsible for obtaining the privileges of publication, use and display of photographs and similar materials submitted for the competition but whose copyrights belong to third parties. Silkar Madencilik San ve Tic. A.Ş. has the right to make announcements about the competition in visual, audio and all digital channels.
Participants participating in the contest are deemed to have accepted the provisions of this specification.
