Companion furniture in patient rooms is an important part of the overall design. When it comes to chairs and sofas, designers usually choose from ready-made, catalog products and present the product with fabric choices tailored to its purpose. Companion chairs and sofas must serve two different functions: sitting during the day and sleeping at night. Drawing on years of experience gained through evidence-based design processes, Archistanbul has produced a sofa called the PR Lounge, for which it holds the patent. Due to the ideal sitting depth and sleeping depth being different measurements, the sitting depth of the PR Lounge is supported by cushions.
