It is used wherever Şişecam Laminated Glass is used, especially in showcases, eaves, overhead windows, skylight glass, windbreaks, glass railings (indoors and outdoors), indoor partition wall and separator glass, and museum display units.
The code of practice regarding safety glass is included in the "TSE 13433 Glass in building - Code of practice for safety related to human impact" standard. To minimize the risks related to human impact, laminated safety glass should be used in the following cases, especially where glass breakage poses a danger, as specified in this standard:
• Vertical glazing up to 90 cm from the finished floor level (for any glass under the glazing bar),
• Glazing that continues uninterruptedly from the floor to the ceiling,
• Glazing in joinery glass doors and side joinery of glass doors,
• Laminated security glass should be used in eaves, overhead, skylight and railing glazing.
• Planned Areas Zoning Regulation requires that:
• Balcony railings (handrails) are made of material that does not shatter when broken,
• In buildings designed with atriums, gallery spaces, or interior gardens, where there is a risk of falling, the glass of the windows or glass cases overlooking these spaces must not shatter when broken.

Safety Glass: It does not create sharp and pointed edges that could cause serious injuries and remains fixed in place in case of breakage. Tempered glass or laminated glass must be used to prevent injuries caused by glass breakage.
Security Glass: It provides security of life and property against external attacks. Laminated glass must be used to prevent/delay entry in case of attack and theft attempts with tools such as stones and sticks.
