The founder of the office, Adnan Kazmaoğlu, graduated from the Department of Architecture at the State Academy of Fine Arts in 1975. From 1988 to 2000, he designed residential complexes, shopping centers, office buildings, hotels, and tourism facilities at MİAR Architecture Ltd., a company he co-founded with Mutlu Çilingiroğlu.
Adnan Kazmaoğlu served on juries at the Architecture Faculties of Istanbul Technical University, Yeditepe University, and Bursa Uludağ University. He taught architectural design courses at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
He has been conducting architecture and urban design studies at the Adnan Kazmaoğlu Architecture Research Center, which he founded, since 2000.
